Racing Hondas

Don’t miss the second round of the season

Donington Park is one of the UK’s most iconic circuits, known for its fast, flowing layout that challenges both car and driver. It provides the perfect setting for the Racing Honda Championship, sponsored by Tegiwa, where close, competitive action is guaranteed throughout the grid.

The lap begins with the sweeping Craner Curves which is a true test of confidence and car control. Precision here is essential, as even the smallest mistake can affect the approach to the Old Hairpin. From there, drivers climb through Starkey’s Bridge and Schwantz Curve, where maintaining momentum becomes key.

McLeans and Coppice are all about balance, requiring smooth throttle application and careful positioning. A clean exit from Coppice sets the tone for the back straight, where performance and driveability come into play. Finally, braking into the Fogarty Esses and navigating the Melbourne Loop demand commitment and control to stay competitive lap after lap.

Success at Donington comes down to consistency, confidence, and an ability to read the circuit’s subtle changes in grip and gradient. With identical machinery across the field, driver skill becomes the decisive factor, often resulting in tight battles and unpredictable outcomes.

Around the paddock, visitors can get close to the cars, meet the drivers and teams, and see first-hand the level of preparation behind each race. On track, expect a full day of action as these racing Hondas tackle one of the most respected circuits in the country.

Whether you’re a long-time motorsport fan or simply love close racing, the Racing Honda Championship at Donington Park delivers the kind of spectacle that’s not to be missed.
